Student must maintain an average of 70 or higher in all subjects at progress report card time to participate in all clubs except Homework
and Peer Tutorial Club. If clubs take place on the same day, then the student must select only ONE club to attend on that day ; they will have to choose
one or the other.

Homework Club
Will meet Tuesday through Thursday from 2:35 PM until the late bus arrives approximately at 3:30 PM. Students may attend one or more days according to their needs. This is a voluntary program. No child will be scheduled without their willingness and/or desire to participate. Club will meet in the Media Center/Library.
CODING CLUB
This club, when available, is open to all students that express an interest in coding. The club will meet one time per week to develop & practice coding skills. This club meets Tuesday afternoons from 2:35 PM until the late bus arrives approximately at 3:30 PM. Club will meet in the LGIR.
CHESS CLUB
This club, when available, is open to all students that express an interest in the game of chess. The club will meet one time per week to practice skills. A tournament will be the clubs culminating activity. This club meets Thursday afternoons from 2:35 PM until the late bus arrives approximately at 3:30 PM. Club will meet in the LGIR.
YEARBOOK CLUB-8TH GRADE ONLY
This club, for 8th grade students only, will meet on Wednesdays throughout the school year from 2:35-3:30 (late bus); dates will be determined and shared out by the adviser in the coming weeks. Students interested in participating will have the opportunity to design and contribute to their 8th grade class yearbook. Jobs will include, but are not limited to, taking photographs of school events, designing pages within the yearbook (i.e. baby photos, collages, etc.), etc. Interested students should have the Yearbook Club Google Form completed; link is located above.
Peer Tutorial
An after-school tutorial/homework program. This program will be staffed by a certified teacher each day. This program will serve only students that voluntarily stay for assistance. This club meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons from 2:35 PM until the late bus arrives approximately at 3:30 PM.
writing club
This is a club, when available, that aims to enhance student writing skills. An advisor will meet with students one afternoon per week to provide support and instruction to aspiring writers. This club meets Wednesday afternoons from 2:35 PM until the late bus arrives approximately at 3:30 PM. Club will meet in room 206.
STUDENT COUNCIL
Students are elected from homerooms to serve as Student Council representatives. Community service is viewed as an integral part of the middle school program. Student Council often sponsors projects and fund-raisers to foster the spirit of giving and community involvement. This club meets on ADVERTISTED AFTERNOONS (except Friday) from 2:35 PM until the late bus arrives approximately at 3:30 PM.
bOOK CLUB
Book Club is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. This club meets the last Tuesday of each month from 2:35 until the late bus arrives. Together, we can share our love of reading and explore new topics and genres of literature. I am excited to share that a former student of mine will be choosing the books and participating in the meetings! It is each group member's responsibility to check the Book Club Google Classroom and either purchase or obtain that month's book selection from a library or online source. This club will meet in Room 306 with Mrs. Brammer.
